Take the Cares Away

I rise in much anticipation,
Of the day's events to come.
Tis flying day and wind has come,
To take the cares away.

To wind I rush,
My pulse be rising,
Sun and breeze I pray,
Come quickly and with stern resound,
To take the cares away.

With feet upon the solid ground,
And soul amid the clouds.
My tethered being darts and plays,
To take the cares away.

Few in number though we are,
The seekers of the wind.
We play amongst the gods this day,
To take the cares away.

To soar among the flying things,
Your soul would best be served,
With wishes for a tethered beast,
To take the cares away.
