SkyShark and glue

SkyShark and glue

There has been a rumor circulating that SkySharks and Cyanoacrilate
glues don't mix. That is somewhat true, but not for the reasons given.

There is nothing in CyA glues that will harm SkyShark rods. The
problem with using these glues with the SkySharks is that CyA glues
are somewhat brittle and the glue joint can crack, causing the the
joint to fail.

The solution is to use a more flexible CyA or to use epoxy or
polyester glues. These other glues are more flexible and should work
better in kite applications.
