Does anyone have an opinion or experience with the Gayla 84" Wind
Walker nylon as a beginner stunt kite or just in geenral?  I had an
amazon.com gift card, and purchased this guy.

Thanks!

I purchased this, couldn't get it to fly - it couldn't keep aloft and
turned too much. not sure what the issue was.  my trilby/trlby that
came in today is loads easier, although it doesnt do well in low wind.
Anyways, I'm returning it (the wind walker).

$34.99 - thats about 25 - not much for a kite

the amazon review made me laugh - clearly written by somebody who knows
little about kites...

"Editorial Review - With its aggressive, double-notched V profile, this
multicolored nylon stunt kite is fast and ready for action. This is a
big rig: a moderate 38 inches from nose to tail, but with a massive
84-inch wingspan. It's held rigid by six, lightweight plastic
struts--two in the V, two across the width, and two as small vertical
spacers that are perpendicular to the main cross-strut. These struts
keep the wing shape just right. The twin flying lines are wound around
two grip-shaped winders for easy control. Go find some airspace--a lot
of airspace!

From the Manufacturer - Wind Walker dual control stunt kite - Big high
performance kite. Dual control stunt flying action. Does poewr dives,
loops and spirals. Made of ripstop nylon. Quality materials and
construction. Includes 2 pre-wound twine winders and carrying case. Size
84" wingspan 38" height."

it does not seem to be listed on the Eola-Gayla website
http://www.eolo.com/

no mention of what the frame is made from - but at that price it is
likely to be solid fibreglass - heavy and bendy.

and "pre-wound twine winders" - Hmmmmmm!

If you have not already sent it back (or hung it up permanently in your
den) then why not take it along for your local kite club to look over.
They should be able to give you a "second opinion"

sorry pal!
best wishes from wet and windy Dorset.
