Here is a more detailed posting for the New York Stunt Kite Championships
and long Island Kite Festival to be held at the Mitchel Athletic Complex,
Uniondale N.Y. August 20-21. This event is sanctioned by the AKA and is a
National on the American Kite Circuit.

an open event with a cost of $15 per pilot to enter. Each pilot will go on
the field and fly a ballet to a mystery song with a mystery partner. In
other words no one will have a clue. It is a true test of a pilots
creative abilities and we should get to see some great flying and have
many laughs. The first five places in the event will receive cash money
depending on the size of the registration for the event.

Borrowing from other eastern league events, NYSKC will include a Flexifoil
Open Challenge with a cost $15 per pilot cost. As with other Flexifoil
Challenges, great prizes will be offered courtesy of Cobra Kites.

New for this year is an Eastern League Flyers Forum Lead by Sky Festivals
Roger Chewning. This is a chance for pilots to let it all out and give
suggestions, opinions and constructive criticism.

Other scheduled events include a buggy seminar and the Annual Eastern
League Organizers meeting.

Abel Ortega from Spectra Sports will conduct a flyers competition seminar
to help pilots become better competitors.

Dave and Sherie Arnold, along with other pilots will conduct a head judge
seminar to help increase the caliber of judging.

The hotel will again be the Long Island Marriott, 800-832- 6255. Reserve
by August 3.

This year promises to be the Best NYSKC YET!!!
