Greens of Burnley manufacturers baskets (also called  "bols") in three,
six and ten foot sizes. "GKPI" is the US distributor.

The ten footer normally retails for about $220. Check your local kite
store, or our site. Last month, we had them on sale.

We can also produce custom colors and larger sizes.

Hope that helps. Thanks for asking.

Hi folks, I'm a kite flyer with a question:
What are those big spinning wheel, donut things called?
And where can I get one?

Originally, I saw these in a kite magazine a few years ago. They were
hand made by a French? guy, and he only made a few.
More recently, I saw some smaller ones (about 6 or 8 ft diameter) -
these I saw for sale online...somewhere.

Anyone know these? Or where I could get one?
Thanks in advance for all information.

I think what you are talking about are Bol's.  Green's Kites of Engalnd makes
10 footers and 6 footers.  Dave Gomberg had a special going on his web page the
last time I looked.   Take a look at www.orednet.org/~dgomberg.  I got a plan
about 6 months ago for a 6 footer and have built 5 of them so far.  Got a plan
for a 4 footer off the net too but forgot where I found it.

There's a set of plans for a 4-foot bol designed by Ed Hummel of the
Kitchener-Waterloo (Ontario, Canada) Wind Climbers on Carlos Simoes'
website at:

http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Loge/8336/bol.html

Don't know if this is the plan Rod is referring to, but it is worth a
look.
