Comments and Status of General FAQ

Post by Anne Ro » Thu, 30 Sep 1993 14:28:43

When I offered to take on the general FAQ a few weeks ago, I wrote that I
would post a new one in 4-6 weeks.  Which I soon realized was just an
invitation to procrastinate.

What I'm posting today is a start.  Readers of previous versions will
notice several sections are essentially untouched.  Astute readers will
notice that I haven't yet included instructions for tying a lark's head
knot <grin>.  Formatting is uneven.  Organization will probably change.
The book section is weak (ironic but true).

As it says in Part I, comments and corrections are welcome. If you wish
to comment on specific sections or paragraphs, please include only them,
not the whole FAQ.

Comments and Status of General FAQ

And what I meant to include in the previous message (don't post when
you're tired :-) :

The FAQ is very US- and English language-centric, and I'm not thrilled about
that.  But I need input from *you* to change that.

What about kite flyers in Australia?  Isn't there an Association?
Clubs in Germany and France?  Kitemaking classes? Etc.

What English words have baffled you?  Would adding some French/German/
other-flavors-of-English terms to the Glossary help?

thanks,

Anne

Thanks, Anne; I didn't realize we were unrepresented.
I'll get a starter list together.
