Lineset lost at Shoreline Kite Park

Lineset lost at Shoreline Kite Park

Post by Sean Carne » Wed, 07 Jul 1999 04:00:00

If you were not flying at Shorline Kite Park in Mountain View,
California today, Monday July 5th, 1999 then just delete this message
and I am sorry for taking your time.

Otherwise, I left a line set with handles attached and a winder sitting
next to it at Shoreline Kite Park in Mountain View, CA today. (yeah,
pretty dumb, I know!) I also left an orange plastic kite stake. I know
alot of folks who fly there read rec.kites. This is in hopes of getting
the lineset back. I was flying next to a guy named Dave who was really
good with the Jam Session even though the winds were gusty.

Anyhow, about the lineset. It is a lineset I made and is 65' of 90lb
spectra line. The sleaving is one site solid white and the other side
solid black.

Junior (a regular there) told me that alot of Shoreline flyers read this
newsgroup so I am hoping somebody wound it up and will hand it back to
me. Otherwise, I guess somebody just got a nice set of lines. I went
back to the park and looked after dark tonight but the line set was not
there. :-(

BTW, this is Sean Carney (first name pronounced Shawn) who also works at

I am. Thanks alot from the new guy (me) :-)

Sean
