Looking for Boot Heater Experience

Looking for Boot Heater Experience

Hi

I was wondering about the feasibility of rigging up my own boot
heaters (sad huh!) mainly because I have never seen any such item for
sale this side of the Atlantic. I would like to find out some
technical stuff first.
What sort of batteries do they use, e.g. are they Nicads, and
what sort of power do they hold. I was thinking in terms of using a
pair of videocamera batteries. I assume that the commercial setups
like the Hotronics ones have two batteries, one for each boot - is
that right?, or do you have one big battery and wires running down
each leg - don't laugh too hard else you'll fall off your skiis!
Thanks in advance for any help/ideas. If you don't think it
is of interest to the group please e-mail me and anyone who wants a
summary should e-mail me as well.

Cheers
