NOW who's still skiing groomed tracks?

June 2. Auburn Ski Club, Donner Summit. We skied a 4k loop of perfectly
groomed tracks on 4-6 inches of new snow. It snowed lightly all day, and
even at noon it was great skiing. You could close your eyes and just imagine
that it was December...

I'm SURE we'll here from the Bend folks now...I think I'll go back up there
tomorrow. They're having a Biathlon camp this week, so it'll be fun trying
to avoid being shot at...

Actually the Biathlon camp is over but there is a master's camp going on
all week. Next week the Juniors will be in town so there will be good
tracks for at least 2 more weeks. Yesterday they had groomed about 15 km
of track. There was about an inch of fresh snow and it was just like
skiing in February. The trails were crowded with all kinds of people and
the skiing was great. We skied about 2 hours.
