Hey all, how goes it?
I read recently on rec.sports.triathlon that XC-Skiing is a good
way to train for triathlons in the wintertime and I thought about it, and
realized it really is a good idea. So I want to look into it. Problem is,
I don't know how to get started. I've XC-skiied before, but I am not that
great. I've even participated in the Canadian Ski Marathon but that was
about 5 years ago.
What kind of skis and other gear?
How much should I be prepared to spend?
Are the automated XC-skiing machines at exercises gyms comparable
to the real thing?
How good are the benefits of this sport to triathletes?
Are there any good courses around the West Island in Montreal?
How can I enroll in the Canadian Ski Marathon once again?
Thanks for all info provided in advance!
