Salomon 9000 3S Equipe

Hi, I have the original Salomon 9000 3S Equipe ski; the orange and yellow
ones. These are made of a wood core while the new ones are made from kevlar
or something. I read an article saying that the old wood skis tended to
internally break-down very easily. I just got my skis tuned and the shop tech
told and showed me how the one ski was bent out of shape; he told me it was
"dead".

Now; my question is; Would I get anywhere (ie, new skis) if I call Salomon
with this problem. Note, the skis were bought new only 2 years ago and not 4
years ago when they first came out. Also, they were only skied on 10 times.

I have a friend with a broken tip on 4 year-old Fishcers and he got brand new
ones. Similar story with a friend who had Head skies.

Thanks in advance
Elton

you should definitely call salomon up and DEMAND a new pair of skis.  i have
a friend who just returned his four-year-old atomic 533 ce's because the
clear coat was cracking, and they sent him a brand new pair of atc 7's.
call them up and talk to someone that can do something about your
problem, not the secretary, and explain your story and you should have no
problems getting a new pair of skis.
