by gathering dust in storage. If you itemize your taxes you now have an
opportunity to donate that equipment and receive a tax deduction for
its value.
We are a high school outing club in Western Mass. that recently
received a donation from a local skier of seven pairs of tele skis,
with bindings. The problem now is generating a supply of boots and
poles, etc. to go with the skis.
Our local education support foundation, the Mary Lyon Education Fund,
will act as the official recipient of any donated equipment and is a
non-profit with 501C tax status.
We are not particular. Anything and everything will be accepted.
Single poles or single climbing skins could be very useful if multiple
people end up donating such items.
