Hi.

I would like to share with you some thinmgs about Flaine in France .

1. The site is just 1 hour drive from Geneva and about 3 hours drive
from Grenoble - Fly to Geneva.

2. Flaine itself is a small place - 4 hotels, 5 bars, couple of ski gear
shops and one mini market.

3. I spent the week in Club Aquarius. This club offers a mini club, so
don't expect to find lots of singles there - it's a place to families
and most of the time you would feel like in a kindergarden.

4. The slopes are pretty good, especialy the ones of Flaine (the ski
pass is to the Grand Massif area - Morrilon, Sixt and Les Caroz too)
which is the highest in the area.

So, If you have some kids or you wish to spend the nights in bed, Flaine
is the place for you.
Otherwise, expect for the Rock-Cafe Bar you would'nt find a place to go
out.

Hi,

I've been to Soldeu (10 Km from Pas) this week-end, and the weather is
***ingly sunny and warm. Get factor 15 or higher sun cream or you'll be
as I right now, looking like a red prawn :(

Given that Pas is 2000-2500 and northern oriented, you'll find acceptable
spring snow until 13:00 am. So... sleep good siestas in the evening,
party all night long and do intensive ski in the first four or five hours
of the day.

If you stay in Andorra la Vella, Escaldes or La Massana, don't miss by
night the "Cau d'Arinsal" British bar near Arinsal, on the right of the
road. The "Surf" disco is greater to my advice, but it's a domain of
Barcelona and Andorra snobby skiers, Brits keep out! ;) it's just a
joke...

Best wishes, best snow...

DSV

Can't quite work out the angle on this one.....

I could start with :

"Let me tell you about Les Deux Alpes, it's only one hour from
Grenoble, but 3 hours from Geneva, so fly to Grenoble. Les Deux Alpes
is a big, sprawling place; lots of hotels, bars, clubs and so on.."

but to be brutally honest - I don't think a lot of people would care..
