Runs during the Dec 1999 Jan 2000

Hi, I was wondering if there were any races going on during New Years of
1999/2000? I think that would be a great way to start a new century, doing
something good for your body.

  Hi,Justine,
Excellent idea, but you will have to wait a bit longer - new century and
millenium start Jan.01, 2001.

Depends how arbitary you want to be, suggesting the millenium starts on 1st Jan
2001. If you're counting from the birth of Christ, it's already somewhere
between 2002 or 2005.  It's somewhat more interesting that the calendar changes
from 1999 to 2000 than 2000 to 2001.  At least, with the Y2k scare the
computers think so.  OTOH, we'll be able to relax for the first New year after
the millenium problem, for 1st Jan 2001 (or should it be the millenium minus
one problem), but by then we'll have adjusted to the new concept of the year
starting with 20 rather than 19.

Be real!

Before you get embroiled with millenium change supervision, take the
opportunity to enjoy one of the last events of the present millenium on the
second saturday in December 1998, 1999 or 2000:- details at
