Can someone recommend some running specialty stores in San Francisco
and
the East bay area particularly around Oakland and Berkeley area. I have
been to La Foot which someone recommends, but they're really a shoe
specialty store and not particularly about running. I mean, they only
sell shoes and not running apparel and related items.

check out either _transports_ in oakland or _forward motion sports_ in
danville.

I got my first pair of running shoes at Fleet Feet in Walnut Creek, and I
was very happy with their service. They have clothing and accessories in
addition to shoes. They aren't far from BART if transportation is an
issue.

I don't know the East Bay area from Oakland or Berkeley, but I do know that
Hoys Sports is located in San Fransico somewhere (some friends ordered
track stuff from them before) ...1632 Haight St. to be exact... they have a
web site at http://www.hoys.com

Go to Transports on college about 3/4 mile down from lafoot it's got
everything!
