Won my first half-marathon!

Well, sort of.  It was the Brantford Classic Run today in Brantford,
Ontario and I managed to get a time of 1:53 or so, which happened to be
the best time in my age category, 14-16 years old.

I've run the half-marathon distance a few times before on a treadmill,
but never outside.  This was my first real race, too, but I managed to
run the whole way.

I've been following this group for awhile now and I'd like to thank
everybody for their stories, motivation and advice.  I posted a message
about a year ago asking about a good time for 1.5 K and now it's hard to
comprehend that I got a good time for 14 times that distance!

Thanks again,
Rob

The longest I have ran on a treadmill was 10 miles and I did that only
because of some circumstances,(ya do what ya gotta do) and I almost lost
my mind.
How do you do it for 13 miles.?

Again congrats to you.

Congratulations to the original poster.  Good luck with the 1500,
which I think is a better race (particularly for the age).

I've done it too.  In fact, that is still my longest run ever, and
included my best at the time for everything from 4 miles and up.  Still
is my best times for 15k and up (having not run that far again).  Strange
circumstances and timing produces strange results.
