Good training program for first marathon

Post by Richard Hicko » Wed, 29 Jan 1997 04:00:00

Help,
I'm a 24 year old runner who is very busy with school and would be
interested in some good
training regimens for my first marathon.  I average between 25 and 30 miles
per week with a longer run
about once every other week (due to time constrictions).  I'm looking at
the month of June as my time to do
the marathon.
Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.

Benny,

If you are interested I can email you a electronic copy of a training
schedule which I did for Road Runner Sports.  The program has schedules
for 5, 6, or 7 months.  The electronic copy is $5.  E-mail me for further
info.  There are a number of free programs that you can access via
runner's world.
