Well it worked out well for Germany and Japan.  Maybe we can align
with the Conch republic in Key West and maintain our rights to ***s
and tax free back bacon.

Good enough. But then what would you do with Quebec, eh smart guy?
Besides, mounties probably don't taste that good - freezer burn, and

Along this line of thought, you might watch the John Candy comedy
"Canadian Bacon."  Not the funniest movie I've ever seen, but it has a few
good lines and makes a good point about the absurd amount of money the US
spends on the military.
