I alway found the Karhu synchron classic a very suitable shoe for
neutral footed, heavy (>80 kg) men.

I'm running on the Brooks Beast ('95). I like it, though it's a bit heavy and stiff. But nice traction on trails. I weigh about 205 and pronate severely, so I need support.

Try the Avia 2075's.  Bluecollar shoe, takes a beating and yields superb motion
control.

I too weigh about 180 and have a moderate pronation problem. I had been
using the Saucony Grid Vang (Sauconys have always fit my foot VERY well)
which seemed to wear well and last a long time but felt too "jarring" for
me. I then tried a pair of Saucony V-Grid 9000s----What a great feeling
pair of shoes! But alas, they were mashed after only a couple of hundred
miles. On the advice of a salesman at Road Runner Sports I'm trying my
first pair of Asics (GEl-MC Plus) and they feel great, but I haven't put
enough miles on them to comment on how long they might last.

I am 40 pounds lighter than you, 140..and am trying the MC
Plus for the first time..I don't need the plus, but I do need
the MC (Motion Control). I've had a bad experience buying the
wrong pair of shoes. Before trying the ASICs, Iused the Brooks
Beast, again another real HEAVY shoe...

my question is do they make a lightweight motion control shoe?
I almost got the MC Lyte but no body had them in stock and I
was leary buying through mail...any support from anyone???
