Cardiosport HRM Exel Question

Cardiosport HRM Exel Question

Post by Bill Baxte » Sat, 31 Jul 1999 04:00:00

A friend of mine has just bought a Cardiosport Exel HRM.
As is usually the case, the user manual tells you how to work the HRM but
not what you can use the various functions for.
One of the functions is for recording intervals with a choice of 5, 15, 60
or 300 seconds.
How is this supposed to be used?  Is it for the active rest period perhaps?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance,

Billy B

Cardiosport HRM Exel Question

There are many uses for these features.

One might be doing a stress test.  When you're going all out there's no way you
want to check your monitor.  Set it to record 300 sec. do your test and check
the results afterwards.

You'll notice the record feature is set to only small increments (5min. max).
This would probably mean you are using it for short distances when checking
your monitor is not practical.

I'm sure many people here will have many other sugestions for use.  Chances
are, if you don't know what it's for, you probably won't have much use for
them.
