Hope your training is going well and that you are all physically and
mentally prepared. You will have a great time! This is a really great run to
practice the "negative splits" - run your first half slower than the last
half. Concentrate on making it to the 18/19 mile mark and then you have a
nice down hill all the way to the finish! Relax and enjoy! Chris.

Chris,
Thanks for the info & encouragement, I will be running St. George for the
1st time this Oct. Hope it won't be too *** my quads, I have been trying
to  work on them!Is it only downhill after 18/19 miles? I thought there was
a hill from 7-13 miles then downhill after that.

I meant what I consider the "major" downhill portion to be at 19 miles. Yes,
it is down hill basically from the start - but not as rough as after the 19
mile. At 7 you begin the Veyo hill through Dammeron Valley which takes you
up to about the 10 mile (7-8 tough climb, 8-10 medium climb) then you go
down and up for the remainder of the race until around the 19 - so please be
prepared, but at the same time don't let it scare you! It is not as hard as
you might think. See ya there! Chris.
