running in a mask

I did search this group before posting, but did not find a definite
asnwer.

Has anyone with allergy-related asthma tried running in a HEPA face
mask? I used to be a competive runner, but I have developed severe lung
problems that prevent me from exerting outdoors. I would not mind
running slower than I used to (I have got over my ego by now), any pace
is fine. Right now I can't even walk up a hill outdoors.

I tried humidifying masks. They work in clean cold air, but they don't
filter out particulate polution.

Re: running in a mask

For the vast majority here in Scotland, a mask is required to go out in
public. These scots are not attractive people like mwe.

To the general public, joggers already wear masks.

Now all you need is the big red nose and huge shoes to complete the
ensemble.
