I would like info on the San Francisco Marathon re the course ,time of
year and is there a web site for it

I believe it is in mid july .. i know it's in summer time
sorry i can't give you much more info than that

if i remember correctly,its usually in July. the wife ran it about 8yrs
ago. race is well-organized and has plenty of support persons.
excellent medical facilities at the end and lots of food/drink sponsors.

race starts on north side of golden gate bridge, winds through marina
area, along shoreline, through downtown (you do the hill on Hyde St,
ouccchhh.), near the Presidio, and ends in Golden Gate Park.

temperature at the start is cold, picks up a bit in town, though never
really getting very warm. great for most people.

excellent race. sorry i don't have any more info.

bay to breakers is a good run also.

Bob,
I ran the San Francisco Marathon this year. It's one of the most
beautiful courses I've run so far. Really a challenging course with
almost all the hills after mile 12. Here is the website for SFO marathon
