300 bar DIN valve tanks

Can anyone tell me if 300 bar DIN valve tanks are available in the US and if
so, where can I get a couple?  I just came from the UK - they were
relatively easy to come by over there.  I'd like to get the equivalent of 12
liter tanks if I could.

I was unaware that there was more than one thread type.  I know there are
two different valves, one for 300 bar and one for the lower pressure tanks
(not sure of their rating, 240 bar I think).  I have the 300 bar setup.

Even if you could get them, the question remains:

Who would fill them ?

The average shop runs their storage bottles at 4000PSI max.

Those 300BAR tanks fill to around 4500PSI..

Where in the US?

High pressure steel tanks with DIN valves are readily available at US
dive shops or can be ordered from the net. They are popular in 80, 100,
and 120 cf, the 100s being the biggest sellers in SoFla.

In the US, they are rated at 3500 psi, but fills to 4000 are easily
obtained.

I'm in the Hampton Roads, VA area.  We readily got fills to 4350psi (300
bar) in the UK, was just curious if it's available in the US.

That's what I'm looking to find out - if it's avialable.  I'm fully aware
that 300 bar is 4350psi - I was hoping someone would be able to quickly
answer my question, but it seems it only generates more questions!  :-)

Mike - 300 DIN valve tanks sold in the US are usually rated 3500 psi. You won't
find tanks here actually rated for 4350 psi(300 bar)

Supposedly, you can not get them filled beyond rated pressure. Wink wink
nudge nudge.

Well,
for tank threads there are big/small conical , BSPsomething, and metric
M 25x2 and M 18x1,5

yes, but some like the added thread length, and sturdier dimensions (
wall thickness, spindle design) of the 300 bar valves, even for lesser
hp fills.

They're available.  Pretty much all of the high pressure tanks sold here
have 300 bar DIN valves.  Mine are PST high pressure 100s.

He asked for tanks, not valves.

300 bar DIN valve tanks

Pressed Steel and Genesis offer cylinders rated to 3500psi using
7-thread 300 bar DIN valves.
You can buy 240bar 5-thread DIN valves that can be fitted with
adaptors to allow their use with standard yoke regulators.

Generally, anything 3300psi or less can get away with the LP DIN or
yoke.  Anything over that requires the 7-thread DIN (though a lot of
guys overfill their yoke-equipped cylinders to 3500).

Except the 300 bar valves will not thread into a standard US LP
cylinder... it's a smaller thread diameter.
