please help,
my girlfriend and me cannot decide where to go diving
this year. Last year we had a wonderfull time in Curacao.
Now we want to do some more diving but want to combine it
with other fun things.

-red sea (hurghada?, sagafa?, sharm-el-sheikh?) in combination with pyramids
-florida in combination with orlando, space-center
-mexico in combination with cultural sites
-bahamas in combi with ?
-maldives in combi with Sri Lanka
-indonesia?

please if you have anything for me please e-mail

if you just want to comment or give advice on hotels or
dive-centers that woul be most welcome.

I would say that Indonesia is a place where the diving is superb, and not
many are doing it, yet. When I was at ADEC I saw evidence of at least 3
new operations going into the Manado area, but further east there is
pristine wonderfull diving to be had. Also, Indonesia offers wonderfull
land adventures also, trekking in Irian Jaya, Orangutans in Kalimantan
(Borneo). Let me know if I can be of help. Mike

The Red Sea and the ancient ruins of Egypt are a super combination.
Although the pyramids are interesting, the most fascinating structures
are at other locations along the Nile (such as the Karnak temple, Abu
Simbel, and the valleys of the kings, queens, and princes).

Diving is OK.  Try to get a pass to a shuttle launch while you're
there, it's quite an experience.  Also, don't forget the Everglades.

We dived at Mazatlan but I think there are other places in Mexico that
would be better.

The diving was excellent off the south side of the main island but
there's not much to do on land unless you're a party animal.  We did
rent some motorscooters one day and had a blast trying to stay on the
correct (left) side of the road.

If you're considering the Red Sea then I'll assume you're not too
worried about the cost.  In that case, I would add the Galapagos
Islands to your short list.  The live-aboards go from island to island
where you can dive, snorkel, and go for land tours where you are
guaranteed to see the famous marine iguanas, Sally Lightfoot crabs,
blue-footed ***ies, Darwin finches, and much more.  The diving is
fantastic.

I don't believe I'd want to dive the Everglades now!!! Not with the jet
fuel and all the debris around it.... at least not *THAT* part of the
Everglades.

Um, I think that was supposed to be a joke.  Not in particularly good
taste, but then again, mine frequently aren't, either.
