Hi,
My wife and I are planning a couple of days at Devil's Den next week.  Any
recommendations on lodging?
Thanks,
Jason

The Williston Motor Lodge is very close and cheap. The rooms are not
great, but are adequate for dive shop trips. The restaurant there is
surprisingly good if you like simple home style food.

Avoid the Best Inn or maybe it's a Quality Inn now on Williston Road in
Gainesville. It is not well maintained and the staff are farm animals. If
there is a UFL football game that weekend, you will not be able to get a
room there anyway, or they will want $250 for it.

If a 45 minute drive is ok with you, try the High Springs Country Inn in
High Springs. It is a very pleasant little family run place. The
restaurant across the street (Floyd's) has excellent food and service at
reasonable prices. You will also be close to Ginnie Springs, which is
worth a visit.

Right now the water at Devil's Den is very low, and it is not a great
dive. I really can't see 2 days there. If you go just a little farther
(maybe a mile) down the road away from Williston, there is a place called
Blue Grotto where you can also dive.

HTH, have a good time

I like the lodges there at the place myself.....

Not to mention the fact that Blue Grotto is more interesting than Devil's
Den even when the water is up.
