Wrist mount altimeter on chest strap?

Wrist mount altimeter on chest strap?

Post by James E. Qui » Mon, 08 Jun 1998 04:00:00

I prefer wrist mount to chest mount for warm weather jumps but
would prefer a chest mount when jumping in cold weather.  When
jumping in weather that is cold enough to require heavy gloves
I would prefer to use a chest mount.

Does anyone make a chest strap mounting pillow that will securely
hold a wrist mount altimeter?

I do this all the time when switching between CRW and freefall.  Square
One sells "triangle" chest mounts - they're basically 3 pieces shaped in
the standard triangular shape, but no "padding" in the middle.  I just
plop my wrist mount on top, run the velcro straps through the middle and
around till its secure and it works great.
