Dear friends
I want to ask you, if there is regular 7 day jumping at Pahokee at the moment?
As my friend and I are planing to come to Pahokee from Europe next week for a 5
weeks training camp, we want to make sure, that we will be able to jump and do
instructor jumps with Zipser's first school of freeflight. I sent the mainfest
an email last week, but didn't get reply until now and their webpage says, that
monday and tuesday are only opend on appointment.
We would be very  pleased to get some infos soon

Mike,

I've heard a bunch of stories too as to who/what is going on there now. What
I've heard implies that most of what is now posted on the website is
redundant. Therefore posting the link really doesn't answer Siggy's question
(is this Siggy from Iceland?). She/He already said they'd been to the
webpage anyway. SO, does anyone have the skinny or not? Enquiring minds want
to know!

Besides, it's raining and I'm bored!

Dunno bro.  I've heard lots of trash lately ...mostly from a 'disgruntled former
employee'.  No specifics, just stuff like poor maintenance and shit attitudes.
I haven't been there in about a year, so I have no first hand experience

Disclaimer: this isn't me talking; I'm not even a parachutist, but my
homie was over looking at the computer and wanted to see what there was
on parachuting.  When he saw the thread on Skydive America, he grabbed
the keyboard and started typing:

i have logged over 600 jumps at pahokee.my freefly team and i consider
it to be one of the most beautiful drop zones in the world.
unfortunately i can no longer in good conscience recomend it to my
fellow skydivers.

the reasons for this are numerous:
  - poor or  non-existant aircraft maintenance.
  - poor judgement on basic safety,by owner\management.
  - a general eighties lifestyle(sniff)by important people involved with the
    operation of the drop zone.

there is more but i hope you get the idea.

the first school of modern freeflying, including olav, stephania, ippo and
john have left. (for good)
real friends don't let friends jump pahokee.try clewiston or sebastian,
both are safe, responsible, freefly friendly drop zones.
i am not a disgruntled former employee, just a brother jumper tired of
loosing friends for stupid reasons.

If he can't sign his name to what he wrote he's a not worth
shit, and neither are his words.
