Info wanted about Skydive Dallas and Skydive Texas

Post by Michael W. Fre » Sun, 12 Nov 2000 04:00:00

Hey all, I am going to be visiting my parents who live around Denton, TX and
was thinking about jumping at either Skydive Dallas or Texas.  Could any of
you let me know what you think about either of them if you have been there?
I would like to know what kind of aircraft they have and cost if you know.

Thanks.

I recently began jumping at Skydive Dallas.  They have a super otter,
a caravan, and a nice little cessna that I've never seen fly.  Experienced
jumps are $18 to 13,500 out of the otter or caravan except maybe on Friday
when I think they are currently $14.50.  Most people at Skydive Dallas
belly fly but there is a very active contingent of free flyers.  Virtually
everyone is very friendly and I doubt you'll have any problems finding
people to jump with if you so desire.

I have'nt been to Skydive Texas yet but I've been so happy with
Skydive Dallas that I haven't had a reason to venture that way.

I've jumped at both places and prefer Skydive Dallas as it seems the people are
friendlier.  However, the people at Skydive Texas were nice too.  Maybe it's
because I know more people at Dallas because I've been there more or maybe it's
because I like their Super Otter and Caravan vs. a Porter.  Last time I was at
Texas they had an Otter but they weren't flying it. Either way I'm sure you'll
have a good time! :)
