Could anyone point me to objective data listing the
advantages/disadvantages of each of these shapes? Opinions/personal
experience would also be welcome.

For the record...

This is NOT my site.  
It just happens to have an article I posted a while back.
The article summarized a paper on wind tunnel wheel tests
conducted at U.Bath in England.  The web site
incorrectly attributes the data to UC Irvine.
