chain tensioners?

chain tensioners?

Post by Michael » Sun, 30 Jun 1996 04:00:00

I was wondering what exactly do "chain tensioners" do on bikes?  One
example of specific model I am referring to is the Kore Chain Reactor.
If anyone has any experience with them or know what they are about,
please help.

Thanks,

  Michael

Chain tensioners are genrally used to keep a level of tension in the drivechain
so that the chain doesn't leave the Big ring whilst downhilling.

Genrally they do work, best I've used is system known as "daves downhill device
", (DDD for short).
