Where Have All the (North Carolina) Races Gone

What with the demise of the Tour duPont and the Wellspring Crit,
and the absolute lack of cycling info in the local press, I seem
to have missed the entire NC cycle racing season.  Are there any
races left down here?

A much lower profile but important to local riders race
is the NC district RR June 14 just south of Sanford.
It's a triangle shaped course, 8.2 miles, with 350
feet of climbing per lap. It seems to be a good course
for both racing and spectating. My wife and I
are going to ride it one of these weekends.

Sure there are.  What you really need to do to keep up on
NC races is frequent your local "serious" bike shop.
There is a monthly newsletter put out by a NC bike group
which is usually available at the shops as well.  I know
that both Chapel Hill Spinners and the Durham Eno Racers
(out of Bull City Bicycles) have been very active this year.

Good luck.
