We are planning to do Adventure Cycling's "Great Divide" ride up the
continental divide from SOUTH to NORTH. We understand that most
people run this route from north to south. We'd like to start earlier
and start in the south.
Does anyone know a good time to start this ride from New Mexico? We
were thinking around late April, but don't know how the mountains will
be (too much snow? too cold?) at that time.
Any help would be appreciated. We are now on the road (11 months and
counting), and would have trouble getting access to groups - so please
Thanks very much!
