: After slightly tacoing my rear wheel, I had it replaced by a bike shop,
: this is a very good wheel built by Wheelsmith with a Bontrager Rim. The
: same freewhell cassette is being used, but when I coast, I get a different
: noise from the freeheel than I did on my old bike. The hubs are the
: same, but the noise, kind of like the buzzing noise you always get is
: different. Is this problem, or is it the new wheel, or the chain out
: of alignment, etc. Thank you.
I'm no wheel expert, but maybe it's just that the vibration from the
freewheel pawls (the buzzing) sounds different because of different spoke
tension in the new wheel.
