OK, well he may not win, but he is my pick to win.

Any other guesses?

BTW the race is tommorrow (sat) and remember if you mention more than one
rider for the win, you are a "Candyass" [original definition]

I'm picking Jalabert ... he's got something to prove after withdrawing from
the Tour ... and we know he has the skills and the talents.  The course is
very similar to LBL and FW, both of which suit Jalabert well.

Can't be a Candyass: I'll pick Bartoli (I assume he's riding and is over
his asthma-induced layoff). If he's not riding, somebody let me know so
I can get a second shot at it (hope that doesn't make me a candyass).

I'll take a chance and go with Andrea Tafi. He's won 2 World Cup races in
the last 2 years (Lombardy and Rochester) both in the second half of the
season. And he seems to ride more consistently in the second half of
the series.

4. Merckx  (my longshot pick)
5. Boorgerd
6. Armstrong (what the heck...)

damnit, you took my pick(Tafi), I think tafi definitely has a good chance

I will take Boogerd however, to prevent copying anyone else

Though i think ullrich is a strong favorite...
as well as: Bartoli,JAJA,casagrande,Riis, and the lot...

Nobody so far has mentioned Sorenson.  He's the man for today.
