Herb's questions on saddle seat/hunt seat -canter leads

Dave dave dave... deary me.
It is perfectly logical why having the horses head to the outside and
asking with the outside rein is bad. It is natural for a horse to lead with the
inside leg whenever it is in a schooling ring, circle or, in most cases, the
dressage arena.
It is all a question of balance. If you ask the horse in a natural way,
i.e inside rein and head slightly to the inside (I find it useful to wait until
I can see the inside eye before asking for the canter) you will find the horse
is much more comfortable and will canter more naturally. :^)
