WTD: Plans for Saddle Rack

Post by Norma » Mon, 06 Jan 1997 04:00:00

When I was a child I had a wooden saddle rack primarily used for cleaning
tack.  It had compartments below for cleaning equipment and the "^" shaped
portion for holding the saddle would rotate to form a "V" so the saddle
could be placed on it's back for cleaning the underside.   Does anyone
know where I get plans to have one built?  This was attractive enough to
keep in the house as a piece of furniture.

If anyone can turn up plans for one of these, I'd also love to obtain
a set and build one.  Thanks.

Don't know where you can get the plans but I know of someone who has made
one.  Provided that you have a set square and a ruler you should be able
to draw up the plans yourself.

Hi,

I would like to request that if someone knows of a source for
plans like this, I too would like to be e-mailed.  Thanks in advance...

Ummmm...drawing them isn't the problem.  The key is to obtain the actual
dimensions of each part and an idea of how each part fits with all of
the rest of them.  Drawing up a set of plans would require going to the
trouble of actually =designing= each individual part of the saddle rack.
As someone has obviously already done this, it would save a =lot= of work
to just obtain a copy of plans already in existence, if someone were
willing to share them.

P.S.  I had posted earlier in the thread that I would also be interested
in a set of plans.
