Working out in a pool gives you a semi-weightless environment which is ideal
for rehab. This is even used for horses in some cases. Try to get into a
water arobics class, if you can find them. (Like arobics, but in the water
which provides more resistance, hence a better workout in a semi-weightless
environment). Doing crunches in the water with floats should help build the
abdominal (stomach) muscles. Consult with a personal trainer at your local
athletic club - preferably one with water arobic training.
