Horse Management Software?

Horse Management Software?

Post by Todd Go » Fri, 13 Jan 1995 05:33:56

Anyone know of some decent horse management software out there
that doesn't cost a fortune?

I only own 2 horses, with hopes of owning as many as 5 at some
point, but am interested in "automating" that tasks that the
management software (I am a computer nerd, what can you expect?)
brings.

So far, I seem to only see information about software for the
"profesional", caring for large numbers of horses.  This software
is BIG BUCKS!  I am looking for decent software for a decent
price, any ideas?  --

Thanks in advance,

Todd,

Mac or Windows?  I have been looking for about six months and have found
lots of shareware, some good and some really bad (memory thirsty).  Let
me know and I will send you my list.  I am currently using a MS Excel
spreadsheet, but it leaves A LOT to be desired!

I would be interested in knowing what is available as far as
farm management programs for the Mac. I know about most of the
business management stuff, but is there anything good out
there specifically for stable management?

I went through the same process.  I evaluated several packages and
decided on EquiSys.  It cost me $79.  It runs under Windows or Mac.  I
am also going to evaluate Compendium, but it is $150 and is on CDROM.
