Need info on the best equine college.

I'm glad I found this news group! I am a father of a high school senior
daughter who is interested in obtaining a degree in equine science. I was
wondering if there is a listing of the best programs available and at
which college. I have found that there are between 20 to 30 colleges in
the US that have equine degrees. We have visited four colleges so far,
Wilson College,
Delaware Valley College, Bluefield College and ***ia Intermont. We are
considering Del Val and ***ia Intermont, so far.
I am also wondering, what kind of employment prospects are there in this
field. How much money can one make after college?

Any info would be appreciated.

Hi Stan,
University of California at Davis (UCD) way out here in the west for vet.
school.
Davis is approximately 20 miles west of Sacramento.
They also have a great intercollegiate polo team.

Mount Ida college is in Newton Center, Massachusetts and has a nice
equestrian facility, team, Equine Studies, etc.  Mount Ida is a two-plus-
two school.  If you visit their web site, you can apply right there on
it!  The site URL is:

Good luck to all!

Dear Jim:

Thanks for the info, by the way I attended graduate shool at the
University of San Francisco for a year, but California is too far. We are
on the east coast and I'd like to keep my daughter a little bit closer to
home.
Thanks,
Stan

Colorado state, in Ft. Collins, CO has a very good Equine Science program,
whether it be to get into industry or science fields. i'm currently a
student there. They also have a good polo and Equestrain team. They place
2nd in nationals last year!! If there is anything else I can help you with,
