Exercise survey

I take complete care of my 3 horses and the land that goes
with them, in addition to 2 goats and 7 cats. Therefore I get
lots of exercise and lots of weight lifting, pushing, carrying.
Also lots of mental exercise looking after them. BUT I do exercise
just for me- and it's very important to my riding and my ability
to do my physical work, plus I like it- I do about 20 minutes
of yoga and Felderkrais exercises every morning and I run about
15 miles a week. If I find I am weak or inflexible in some part of
me that's important to riding (like my hips recently) I'll find
something to do that will improve that. SO far it's working- !-Amy

I have seen many references to both Felderkrais and the Alexander
Method, both here and in various books (mainly in Centered Riding
and the Mary Wanless books).

I'm very interested in finding out more about the results that people
get (mental and physical). How much time do they require weekly? Can
they be done alone or are they best practiced in a group?

I have the name of a local Felderkrais instructor, but have no idea
how to reach an Alexander Method trainer; anyone have any leads?

And as to yoga, if you are doing this, is it for strength or
flexability or both? I practiced yoga in my 20's - it was "cool" -
but I don't know if I was doing it right! All I know that I got from
it was a feeling of one-ness with my fellow wanna-be-cool friends!
