Reagan's vision is realized today inthe freedom of Poland, the Czech
Republic, Hungary and a lot of other places. I even saw a story on
line that the new President of Mongolia is looking to him as a model.
He was conscripted into the Soviet Army as a young man in the 1980s,
and heard the stuff Reagan was saying while living in that system.
When he got back to Mongolia, he took it with him.
Millions, many millions of people are free today in good part due to
his persistence and vision. Thatcher and Pope John Paul II helped too,
along with a lot other folks who may never have their names recorded
by history. Reagan was the front man when he needed to be though.
Of all his legacies I feel that is the strongest. More than the 80s
economic boom, or the other things he did. Spreading the gift of
freedom as he did to millions was a great way to spread the best of
America to the world.
