Reminds me of when Gameboy came out in "Ice Blue" color, and they had
an ad where a kid was dancing around screaming that he had it and you
didn't. Probably worked on a number of suckers too.

I'm with you that Ipod's ascendance in popular culture vernacular has been
quite annoying.  However, I still think it is a pretty cool little piece of
technology.  I would never buy one, but if I was a chick I would.

What's an iPod?

Oh, it's kinda like my $39 RCA lyra.

I'll never understand the people who need to carry around 100 albums worth
of music to go to the gym or walk from class to class.

I have the RCA Lyra, too. I also throw in a memory card to have at
least 100 songs stored on there so I can listen to while I do my 2 mile
walk everyday.

I don't know about you, but it's easier to run when I'm distracted by music.

Nobody "needs" to carry around music, period.

What's with all the iPod hate lately? It's well-designed, easy to use,
well-functioning, and just works. I ended up getting an iriver, and I
got a bit burned, because the customer service from that company is
awful. Thank goodness I'm well-versed in technology and could figure it
out myself but that's no good for the everyday person, whom I would
still reccomend an iPod to first.
