The "big belt" in either company.  Lugar drunkenly spouting off before
Mania to a reporter, then not winning at Mania 10.

Also when i first started using the net to get my learn on about
wrestling, I recall a rumor than Vince rerally was contemplating having
Bret drop his belt to Golddust.  (this was shortly after GD was at his
peak in drawing homo heat, in his fued with Razor).

Any others?

I've always heard that Vader was supposed to take the strap from Shawn
Michaels at Summerslam '96, but JJ Dillon left the WWE front office to
go work for WCW right before the title switch so they nixed the idea to
keep WCW from knowing their hand.

Vader was supposed to get the WWE title from Shawn, either at
Summerslam '96 or the '96 Survivor Series (where Shawn dropped the belt
to Sid, if I recall correctly)

I'm not sure why neither of those materialized...the obvious answer
would be "Shawn refused to job" but I'm not sure if that's true

They'd never do that, dude.
What the hell are you talking about.
Vince Russo respected wrestling history too much to allow that.
