WHAT IS BAW?
Big Apple Wrestling is an e-fed that hosts some of the best wrestlers on the
net!  With action-packed cards every week, plus PPVs, there's never a dull
moment in BAW!  Although it's not a "***" or "extreme" league, things to
heat up every once in a while and "extreme" matches are the only options
sometimes.  So whether you're a technician or a brawler or a high flyer, BAW is
the place for you!

RULES AND REGULATIONS
You absolutely, postively, MUST ROLEPLAY!  If you don't roleplay, you will not
be kicked out, you will not be suspended, you will just JOB every match you're
in!  It's that simple.  If you RP and try your best, you will win matches,
maybe even capture some BAW gold, but don't join BAW if you're just going to
sit on your ass and do nothing!  RPs and strats both help you win matches.  The
RP deadline for all cards is 12 noon EST on the day that the card will be
released.  Example - if you're going to RP for Wednesday CARNAGE and it's
11:30am EST, then you're ok, but if it's 12:01pm then it won't count!  Cards
will usually be out by 10pm EST.  Also, if you want a push, go out and make
something happen.  Start a fued, create an angle, challenge someone.  You will
not be given a title shot unless you are active.  If you want a live interview
on either of the two cards, e-mail me the interview a day in advance and I will
fit it in the card.

During the match, you may not use any foreign objects or you will be DQ'd,
UNLESS there are special stipulations added to a match which will happen quite
frequently.

BAW COUNTERPARTS
     Commentators
     * Kendall Cunningham - the leader of the commentators.  the JR of the
group.                                   treats every match as if it were the
match of the century and shows no bias.

     * Stevie Esquire - great wrestler from Red Dice Wrestling and the HWO.  He
is the RDW World Champion and he LOVES heels!

     * Jay Taylor - heel commentator that loves to double team KC with Esquire.
Whoever the fans want to win, JT doesn't!

     Referees
     * Head Official - Kenneth Dash - fair official, doesn't take anything from
the wrestlers

     * "Slim" Jim Oar - officiates the lightweight matches, usually pretty
fair, has a tendency to get e***d easily and lose focus

     * J.P. Gregory - favors the heels, but doesn't show it

     Ring Announcer - Mark Williams

REAL LIFE COUNTERPARTS
Commissioner/Head Writer - Jeremy Bennett (I have run leagues before, I
know what I'm doing)

VP - currently vacant, but we're looking for someone

BAW CARDS
CARNAGE - this card is held bi-weekly on Wednesdays.  it is basically all
stipulation matches. 4-8 matches per card

Street Fight - held on Sunday nights...it's BAW's premiere show like RAW is WAR
or Nitro.  6-10 matches per card

BAW DIVISIONS
Heavyweight Division - 230 pounds and up
Lightweight Division - for competitors under 230 pounds
Tag Team Division - God, I hope you know the answer to this one!

BAW TITLES
Heavyweight Division
World title - defended at least 3 times a month
Toughman Championship - defended 3-4 times a month
NY Title - defended every card

Lightweight Division
World title - defended 5 times a month

Tag Team Division
World Tag Team Titles - defended at every PPV and 3 other cards

There is a solid Japanese e-wrestling fed: Pro Japan Wrestling [PJW] It's
only for cruiserweight class wrestlers, but it exists, and it's doing
well.

As for why I closed down SJPW, the reasons have all ready been said, and
I see no reason to go over a dead issue. All I'll say is that it was no
longer fun to run, and that alone is reason enough

Not exactly Ronnie, but you're close with some handlers giving me shit :)

If you're just going to open up a new fed, then why did you close down SJPW?
The e-wrestling world needs a solid Japanese fed.

Maybe he feels that SJPW did all it could, and that some handlers were
giving him shit when he was bored with it.

Rob, not that this will make up for the loss of SJPW, but I plan on
opening a Japan-based fed in the next couple of months.

After the I-Crown and Zielinski Cup have been held, the World Cup of
Wrestling will be cut back to one event every quarter (ensuring the
events which have already been scheduled or held will happen on an
annual basis). This will give me the time I need to start up a Japanese
e-fed, something I have always wanted to do but never did because Gerry
was doing such a good job.

I hadn't planned on announcing this just yet, but I guess there's no
harm letting the cat out of the bag. This new fed will be similar to
SJPW but with several key differences as well. It won't be as big as
SJPW either, nor do I pretend it will be anywhere as good :)

It won't be starting until I have the necessary staff to back me up,
followed of course by a strong roster. I am in need of a handful of
match writers, a webmaster and a couple of bookers. Someone who can put
in a great deal of effort (write several matches a week and do other
tasks as well) will be made VP.

I've already written the fed handbook, so if anyone reading this is
interested in finding out more or is interested in joining the staff,
drop me an email and I'll send it to you.

BTW, I fully understand Gerry's decision. While I closed my fed the NECW
mostly because of health problems, it was becoming more of a burden than
a fun thing. Fed heads deserve to have fun too.

Fletch,
World Cup of Wrestling co-organiser.
