HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A maintenance worker at Lake Compounce died
Wednesday morning after being struck by the park's "Boulder Dash"
The employee's identity was not released by park officials.
The roller coaster was being tested at about 8:30 a.m. before the
park's opening and was making runs without passengers, which is a
standard practice, park officials said.
"For unknown reasons at this time, the employee was struck and killed
by the coaster," park spokesman Richard Bisi said in a statement. He
said an investigation is being conducted to determine "what happened

longest wooden roller coaster on the East Coast, according to the
