RE>Puritas Park

Thanks for the info Pete.  I knew the spelling wasn!t right but I
couldn!t figure it out.  I lived on the west side (in Berea) and the ride
location is not that close to the city(downtown) but not that far away
either.  There is a part of Puritas that is in a less urban setting and
near that there is a park (part of the Cleveland Metroparks I believe)
which is about a mile from where the remains are.  There is a small
narrow winding road/path which is permanently blocked off but you can
walk up and it is in the woods near there.  I am a student at Case West
(I!m on a co-op now in N.C.) so if your interested in checking out the
remains with me someday this summer I!m sure I could find them again even
though its been about ten years.   I would love to be able try and
determine the former layout of the ride among other things.  Hopefully
there is a book on it as you have suggested.  Any more information from
those more knowledgeable in rollercoaster history on how wicked the ride
actually was, its noteriety (its name for that matter), what time frame
the park and ride existed and reasons for its closing will be greatly
appreciated.

P.S.  Can!t wait til this co-op term ends on May 20th, then I!ll have
about 2 weeks until summer semester to get my fill of the Raptor!!!
