Batman & Robin - The Chiller Update

Batman & Robin - The Chiller Update

Went to the park on Friday 28th..

I have season passes, and a capture card for my camcorder, so I will
be posting a web page with regular construction pic updates.
(although I didn't bring the camcorder on Friday...)

Three seperate areas of construction are moving along..

Loading Station..
The loading station steel girder frame has been constructed.  It
appeared to me that when we entered the park, only the red, large
steel beams where in place, and when we looked at it closer as we left
9 hours later, a good portion of the steel wall studs (silver colored)
were up.  If that is true then they have a quick pace going because
there seemed to be alot put in for one day.

Circular tower....

There is also steel setup in a circular pattern, about 25 ft in
diameter, and about 30 feet high.  This does not appear to be
structural for the track, but maybe the skeleton structure for a
theming element to the ride... such as Mr freezes liar or whatever...

Track..

The only track construction is support posts, three for each track, of
increasing height that appear to be the beginnings of the tower the
then propels the cars back...  Currently only about 25-30 ft high.

From the bumper cars, you can go right to the fence and see the
coaster form about 20 feet..  I didn't see any track sections in the
area.

One thing that surprised me is that it seems like the area for the
coasters is not very large......

Also...

The little signs in the front that inform of closed rides stated the
coaster only as "The Chiller"...

Maybe it was because space limitations on the sign, but I think saying
"The Chiller" is much easier to talk about because every time I say
B&R the Chiller, someone says "they already built Batman, that's an
old one!"
