Alton Towers will be holding a "Halloween Spooktacular" from October 27 -30 1997.

The advertising blurb says :-

"It's dark, the spook's are all around you, Nemesis is waiting silently - scream if you want, but never close your eye's!"

During this event ride's will be open until 9pm!

All so during 1997, the ride's will be open until 9pm during the 23 - 27 June as part of the "Big Five Challeneg"

And then there's the annual Fireworks Spectaculars - this year with stunts !?!

The date's are : 25/26/31 October, 1/2 November.

Wow! The Alton management must have special permission from their mummies
for this one. They'll be home really late (hardly)?
Anyway, can't complain. It's a start I suppose.
You never know, if it's well attended they might go for 10pm next year!

The June dates should be pretty good if it's not too crowded (is it half-term week?).
Riding Nemesis on a summer evening in the Staffordshire countryside? Who could
ask for more?

Does anyone know if the season tickets are valid for the Fireworks nights? Hope
they are.

Regards,
Rick

Didn't they do this last year? I rode the Congo River Rapids in the
dark on fireworks night, with the fireworks exploding overhead!
The Thunderlooper was running in the dark too, but the queues were
phenomenal!
