I believe that Premier is providing the trains (Yes, the same people
responsible for Outer Limits: Flight of Fear).

: Six Flags St. Louis...Unnamed, manufacturer/builder unknown?

Wasn't this a CCI project?

Yes, the SOB trains will be made by Premier.

This is most likely a CCI, but no evidence or confirmation as of yet.
I'm going to the park this evening, so I'll see what I can find out.

When Dan Chase and I were at Silverwood Theme Park a few weeks ago, Dan asked a
ride op if she knew anything about some of their employees being sent to Ohio
to work on a project, and she said that she had heard something to that effect.
It seems to me that it is a definite possibility, but I guess we'll just have
to wait and see.

I talked to Gary Slade (of Amu***t Today) earlier this summer, and he
told me that there had been no contract signed between CCI and Wild
Adventures. Since then, I have heard nothing to the contrary, so I must
assume that this project has been delayed, but there is a possibilty that
something has happened that I do not know about. I will try and find out
more at IAAPA.

Hey, I wish also that we could get coasters with old-style lap bars again,
but that aint ever gonna happen, so we must just enjoy what we have. I
would rather have 10 new woodies a year with ratcheting bars than no new
woodies at all, especially if they keep building them as wild as they have
been!
Besides, if you get operators that are not "lap bar Nazis" that staple you
to the seat, and learn to hold the bar up during the ride, I actually
prefer the ratcheting bars, since you can get more airtime that on a train
with standard bars. So a new woodie that is going into a small park as
opposed to a corporate themer is more cause to celebrate, as small parks
are more likely to be more lenient on lap bar position. Rip Roarin Rampage
last weekend was a perfect example of that, as attendees were able to get
rides with the bars down only two or three clicks, which allows for mucho
airtime.
Now if all bars became as bad as the ones on Boodley/GCI's new trains,
then I might be more upset, but even those can be partially gotten around
if you learn how to hold them up during the ride.
When life gives you lemons, you try and make lemonade!

Dear Matt Crowther:

I am trying to send you email and it keeps bouncing back as "undeliverable"?!

Please send me email so I may try a "reply" -- the direct route (yes, sans the
"nospam") is not working!

Thanks,
/B

Wow, 10 coasters and only 10 ratcheting lap bars?  Assuming 24 seats per
train, and two per coaster (excluding Legend which will be a single
train), does that mean 446 seats will not have ratcheting lapbars? :)
